I always like to see what new gaming platforms will be presented in the new year. Well, 2025 is here. Here is a round up of the new handheld gaming platforms we should see released. Many devices were announced at CES and here is what I know:

Nintendo Switch 2
Nintendo has officially announced the Nintendo Switch 2, set to launch in 2025. This successor to the popular Switch console features a larger screen and newly designed Joy-Cons available in black and pink, and black and blue color schemes. The Switch 2 will maintain backward compatibility with original Switch games, though some titles may experience compatibility issues. A new Mario Kart game has also been teased.
Lenovo Legion Go S
Lenovo is introducing the Legion Go S, a handheld gaming device set to release in May 2025 at a price of $499. Notably, it will be the first non-Valve device to run SteamOS, offering users access to a vast library of Steam games. This positions the Legion Go S as a strong competitor in the handheld gaming PC market.
Acer Nitro Blaze 11
